Melanie is the owner of Natural Chiropractic Chelmsford and has worked in Essex for over 30 years. She graduated from the Anglo European College of Chiropractic (UK) in 1985, from the School of Phytotherapy in 1992 and is a graduate of Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice 2017. She was one of the founders of Cliffs Chiropractic Clinic in Southend which was honoured to be in The Parliamentary Review. The Review highlights best practices in the private healthcare industry with a strategic aim of raising standards. She was jointly awarded BCA Chiropractors of the Year in 2015.
Melanie’s interest in chiropractic came from her visits to a chiropractor as a teenager for her and her family and this has now turned into a life long passion. Melanie believes we deserve to be the best version of ourselves that we can be; full of life and vitality. She is dedicated to getting to the root cause of your problem, finding the best way to fix it and helping you stay healthy.
She has continually developed her knowledge and skills over the years learning in the fields of chiropractic, medical acupuncture, Medical Herbalism and most recently the new but rapidly growing field of Functional Medicine. “Functional Medicine fits in perfectly with being a Medical Herbalist, I look at the patient holistically taking the whole body into consideration, tackling the root cause of chronic disease using herbs, nutrition, diet, exercise and lifestyle advice.”
She is dedicated to achieving the best possible results for all her patients. Her many years of clinical experience, treating a huge range of conditions enables her to have the experience and confidence to treat patients with even the most chronic complaints. Taking a holistic approach to all her patients, Melanie can combine chiropractic, medical acupuncture, herbalism and Functional Medicine if patients so wish.
Melanie truly believes that Better Health means Better Living.
Other stuff about me
How do I love to stay healthy? I actually enjoy the gym and have found a mix of cardio work, free weights, and body balance classes are what keeps me fit physically and mentally. Eating well is so important for me- lots and lots of veg the more types the merrier and some protein thrown in occasionally, I can never refuse a lamb chop. Long walks in the hills would be an ideal day out for me- with a pub half way of course!
Favourite things to do– Lunch at Bocca di Lupo with my son, walking the coast path in Cornwall, breakfast at E5 Bakehouse, snorkelling, dancing.
Favourite pastime- Cooking, especially for my friends. Asian is my favourite.
Odd facts- I actually love the taste of my herbal medicine and I am a qualified Phlebotomist.
Inspirations to me– Mark Hyman, Chris Kresser, Chuck Gibson, Eckhart Tolle, Dr Rupy Aujla.
